Cody Barrus and I visited a small plot of land in the backyard of a local Seattle resident on our first farm tour of City Grown Seattle, a urban farming organization working with small plots of land in and around the Wallingford and Ballard neighborhoods of Seattle.
City Grown Seattle is run by three local farmers: Scott Behmer, Noelani Alexander, and Becky Warner. Their goal is to grow enough produce to create a self-sustaining organization that enables local produce lovers to visit, participate, and eat some great, locally produced food!
We shot video interviews and took photos, picked Kale and Arugala, and chatted with these lovely ladies. It was a truly wonderful experience.
Check our Flickr Set from our City Grown Seattle tour right now and we'll have a video up shortly!
Cheers!
